With dozens of designers debuting their spring/summer 2015 collections around the world, there are many trends that have stood out. My personal favourite trends seen on these runways consist of pastels, white on white, bold patterns, and the colour yellow.
A consistent trend for spring and summer is Pastels. At the 2015 Fashion shows Pastels appeared frequently from many brands.
Alberta Ferretti’s Spring/ summer collection consisted primarily of sheer and flowing pastel garments. The garments appear extremely effortless and Breezy, which is perfect for the Spring time.
Balenciaga’s show also employed the use of pastels however in a different way to Alberta Ferretti. Although the dress above is sheer the material used is a thicker, making the dress more appropriate for colder spring days. The floor length pastel coat compliments the look perfectly.
Cushnie Et Ochs produced many Pastel pink garments in their 2015 spring/ summer runway show. Like Alberta Ferretti, Cushnie Et Ochs created effortless Garments that are simply perfect for spring and summer.

White on white
Another trend that embraced the catwalk throughout fashion week was white on white.
Balenciaga’s runway show consisted of many white on white outfits. Balenciago creates their garments so that the white on white trend is simply stylish and chic.
Edeline Lee’s White jump-suit along with white shoes forms a minimalistic outfit whilst still looking incredibly put together.
Gucci employed the white on white trend effectively during fashion week 2015. Gucci makes this trend their own through the varying use of texture and material.
Isabel Marant’s runway show also showcased several beautiful white on white outfits. The varying material texture to the garments creates an interesting outfit.

Trend number three that took the runway by storm was bold prints. Like pastels, bold prints is a trend that has been around for many years however this year each designer approached this trend in a new and modern way.
Clover Canyon’s spring summer collection consisted of many summery bright and bold prints.
The classic Chanel also created many beautiful garments with bright and vibrant prints. Chanel’s Classic and chic aesthetic along with the bright coloured prints makes a perfect spring collection.
Alice and Olivia’s bright printed garments caught my attention due to their effortless, breezing and feminine look.
Burberry is yet another designer who joined the bold prints train, and yes you guessed it, they did it well. The sleek silohuette of the above garment along with its beautiful coloured print is an absolutely flawless option for spring and summer.

Yes to yellow
Along with pastels, many different shades of yellow appeared consistently on the runway. Models who rocked many different shades of yellow along with different materials strode along the catwalk for several different designers.
This warm gold toned Cushnie Et Ochs dress is extremely stylish both in its shape and colour. The bold bright yellow colour above is very flattering on olive skin tones and darker skin tones however if you like this yellow trend but don’t have a darker skin tone, don’t stress because there are many different shades for you to try out.
This orange toned yellow gown designed by Ellie Saab, is trendy in so many ways. Aside from the vibrant colour of the garment, the asymmetrical hem of the gown screams spring and summer.
Edeline Lee’s two piece ensemble conforms to the yellow trend well and truly. The yellow spaghetti strap top paired with the straight leg 7/8 pant is very appropriate for many spring occasions.
