Statement Jewellery. Pretty, bold, stylish! But the question is… how do you style statement jewellery? I will be sharing some super simple tips with you today that will hopefully make styling statement jewellery a piece of cake!
Firstly you need to understand that there are many different types of statement jewellery. Diamonds, chains, beads and pearls just to name a few!
Diamond esk Statement Jewellery
With any type of statement jewellery it is best to style it with more basic items and this is definitely the case with diamond statement jewellery!
Chained Statement Jewellery
These chain jewellery pieces are perfect when paired with more bohemian styled outfits.
Beaded Statement Jewellery
Beaded Statement necklaces look amazing when styled with a simple beachy inspired outfit.
Pearled Statement Jewellery
Pearl necklaces are very classic, and look fantastic with vintage inspired outfits.
1. Layer, Layer, Layer
Take your summer shirts, skirts, dresses etc and add a few layers either on top or underneath. It will instantly transform your summer outfit into a perfect winter combination.
2. Choose the colour of your outfit wisely!
Monochrome always works as well as deep purples, greens, reds and black! Maybe just avoid pastels although with the right styling they can work for the winter months.
3. Add a scarf
Add a scarf to any of your summer short sleeve shirts and voila, its more wintery already! Apply step 1 of layering with this tip of adding a scarf and you will be ready to rock the weeks of winter.
4. Add tights
Transition your summer skirts, shorts and dress into autumn and winter by simply adding a pair of tights.
5. Swap Sandals for Boots
Boots can transform almost any outfit into a winter appropriate one! They will keep you nice and warm and will always look super stylish.
Sunglasses are an accessory that nearly everyone owns but it is rare to find that pair that you absolutely love off and on your face! Today I will be sharing with you the fool proof way to find the most flattering sunnies for your face shape.
Step 1: Figure out what your face shape is.
There are many tests and quizzes you can take online to figure out your face shape but it can all be very confusing! If you are serious about figuring out your face shape, it is a good idea to do it with a friend, that way they can help you answer some of the questions about the shape of your face. During the summer time, I have been loving the natural bronze glow makeup look! With the right products it is very simple to create!
The bronze makeup look is great, as it works for so many occasions! You can simplify the look and use lighter coverage products for an everyday summer fresh face. If you use higher coverage bases and more dramatic contours and highlighters, the look becomes very appropriate for any formal event!
With the bronze look, it may be a good idea to decide what your focus is! Eyes, lips, checks, face! If your bold, of course pick more than one but as a little tip, if you are going bold on the checks, go simple on the eyes and vice versa.
Steps to take to perfect the Bronze Beauty look
1. Start with your preferred base (foundation, powder, tinted moisturiser etc)
2. If you have used foundation/ tinted moisturiser as the base, try and avoid powdering it, so that the natural glow of your skin can shine through.
3. Decide whether you want to do a full on contour on the checks or just an all over bronze effect.
4. With both Bronzing and contouring, focus the products under the cheekbones, under the jawline and around the edges of your face.
5. choose a highlighter and apply it on the top of your cheekbones, down the brigade of your nose, middle of forehead and cupids bow.
6. Finish the look of with your preferred eye look and a finishing setting spray.

After a such a global event like the Grammys, I would typically write a blog post about the best dressed. However after seeing the red carpet pictures this year I realised that the best dressed were not the ones who stood out most! Many stars tend to take risks at award shoes like the Grammys and of course this year was no different! I definitely do not love all of these looks but I admire each celebrities courage and willingness to try something new on the red carpet! Here are some of the stand out wild style moments from the night!
Number one: Rihanna
On anyone else this dress would for sure make all of the worst dressed lists, but somehow Rihanna seems to pull it off! The bright pink Giambattista Valli ball gown definitely makes a statement, but the ever daring Rihanna styles it simply with a slick back low bun and glowing makeup!
Number 2: Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian is never one to shy away from fashion risks, and this cleavage showing glittery number definitely counts as a risk! She wears it with confidence and rocks her gorgeous new short do with the look!
Number 3: Charlie XCX
The young star confidently struts her stuff in this Moshcino ensemble! Risky it is… but stylish I am not so sure! Let me know in the comments, whether you are sold on this look or not!
Number 4: Ciara
Yet another risky look off the red carpet! Again I am not keen on this look but 5 stars for taking the risk Ciara! If you can’t do it at the Grammys where can you?
Number 5: Jenny Lewis
Jenny lewis rocks the carpet in this ultra groovy suit! The multi coloured Blazer incorporates cartoon ish ideals which match her star printed boots! Her groovy glasses and 70s inspired hair do match the look perfectly! Jenny somehow pulls it off but its definitely not for everyone!
Number 6: Pharrell Williams
Pharrell has been seen, rocking the shorts and suit look several times throughout 2014 and it is obvious that he is not done with the risky look in 20115! His wife opts for a figure fitting athletic inspired jumpsuit. The pair definitely stand out, but is it in a good way?
Number 7: Jane Fonda
Jane Fonda’s deep green v cut jumpsuit was definitely something new on the carpet! she pairs it with bold gold accessories and her classic blow out hairstyle! Even at Jane’s Age she never shys away from taking a fashion risk and for that I applaud her!
What did you guys think about the 2015 Grammys fashion? Who were the best dressed? worst dressed? and what fashion risks did you enjoy seeing?
